About Sandy Hall M.Ed.

Sandy Hall M.Ed. is the founder of re/cognition, a boutique consultancy that has spent years helping leaders, executives, and entrepreneurs across New Zealand and Australia build stronger, more human workplaces. With a Master's in Education from the University of Auckland and a background in neuroscience, Sandy built her career at the intersection of leadership development, resilience training, and talent strategy, including years leading IBM's Best Workplace Program in New Zealand.

But the work that became Hyperfocused began at home. When her son Jordan was diagnosed with ADHD, Sandy started seeing the same patterns in her own life: the masking, the hidden diagnosis, the quiet cost of performing "normal" inside neurotypical systems. She turned her coaching lens inward, blending lived experience with the neuroscience she had taught for years to reframe ADHD not as a deficit to fix, but as a distinct neural setup to understand and work with.

Today, as a Leadership Development and ADHD Coach, host of the Rethink Culture podcast, and a vocal neurodiversity advocate, Sandy helps neurodivergent adults and the parents of neurodivergent kids move from burnout and masking toward regulation, honesty, and sustainable focus. Hyperfocused is the book she wishes her family had been handed on day one: part memoir, part science, part practical roadmap for anyone ready to stop fighting their brain and start working with it.
